(2) EDITIONS OF RARE 18TH C. INDIAN WARS BOOK
William Hubbard, A.M., Minister of Ipswich. "A Narrative of the Indian Wars in New England, from the first parting thereof in the year 1607, to the year 1677, containing a Relation of the Occasion Rise and Progress of the War with the Indians in in the Southern, Western, Eastern and Northern Parts of the said Country." The first in remnants of full calf binding, Printed and Sold by John Boyle in Marlborough Street, Boston, 1775, 4" x 6 3/4", 288 pages, front board off but present, cupped damage to first and last few pages; the second in half leather with marbled boards. Printed at Worcester (Massachusetts), by Daniel Greenleaf, for Joseph Wilder. 4 1/4" x 6 1/2", 410 pages, water damaged binding, contents toned, stained, wrinkled at back, fully legible.
